The xUTM firewall appliances from gateProtect AG offer a very high level of flexibility. There are suitable products available for use in a wide range of different networks and they include all standard security features. Despite the use of cutting edge security technology, the xUTM Appliances are particularly easy to use on a daily basis thanks to the process-oriented operator navigation system and they offer a very high level of clarity. For companies with 10 to 15 users we offer the O series, for 20 to 100 users we recommend our A series and for up to 10,000 users our X-or Z series.

Securing your IT infrastructure in VMware environments
Virtualization systems offer the key benefits of reducing hardware costs and optimising resource utilization. In particular, Managed Security Services environments provide optimal conditions for using virtualization technology to secure diverse departmental networks.

Further significant benefits include centralised administration, monitoring and backup facilities.

Even in virtual systems individual servers need to be protected both from each other and from unauthorized access. To achieve this, the required firewalls can be integrated within the virtual environment to maximise virtualization benefits effectively.

gateProtect's virtual appliances make this possible.
Virtual appliances can be installed on compatible virtual systems to prevent unauthorized access by monitoring both internal traffic between the servers and external traffic between servers and the public network.

The virtual appliance is supplied as a VMware image and will run on any system with VMware Player, VMware Workstation, VMware Server or VMware ESX server installed.

gateProtect's eGUI® technology raises operating security and efficiency to a previously unattained level. Furthermore, gateProtect is the only manufacturer worldwide to implement the ISO NORM 9241 standard.

Command Center:

The Command Center® allows up to 500 gateProtect xUTM appliances or firewall systems to be managed, configured and monitored. All gateProtect appliances, from the GPO 75 to the GPX 1000, can be managed and configured from the central Command Center®. This is particularly important for companies which use several firewall systems or are planning rollouts on a large scale.

The new Command Center® effectively improves achievable security many times over and at the same time leads to huge improvements in the efficiency of routine maintenance, reducing the relative costs of operation significantly.

Furthermore, with the unique integrated eGUI® technology (ergonomic Graphic User Interface) gateProtect delivers a quantum leap in the configuration and management of firewall systems.

The gateProtect Command Center supplies MSS providers and corporate IT departments with a broad range of features they need for global management of IT security systems. This includes active management of connected firewall systems, complete monitoring e.g. supervision of all parameters relating to operations and security, as well as central backup management and archiving, licence management, VPN certificate administration and configuration.
